iDapter available as of July

Funkwerk Dabendorf will be launching a key accessory part for its Ego Flash and Ego Look hands-free kits along with the 8.10 software update in July. With the new iDapter, the popular Apple MP3-player can be connected directly to the Ego Flash and Ego Look hands-free kits and music played through the vehicle speakers. All of the iPod functions such as track selection are indicated on the display and can be controlled via the hands-free kits without necessitating actual handling of the iPod. A prerequisite for first-time operation is the 8.10 software update. The requisite cable accessories are included in the scope of supply. The software update will be available here.

New Ego for Toyota drivers

The Cebit 2009 has seen Funkwerk Dabendorf presenting a new Bluetooth hands-free kit specially developed for Toyota vehicles. Based on the technology featured in the Ego hands-free kit concept, our specialists realised an accessory part which can be fully integrated in the cockpit. Vehicles can be retrofitted with a system by simply replacing it with a filler plug. Visually, the hands-free kit is perceived as a component of the vehicle interior and controlled using Toyota-specific control panels. Full integration in the instrument panel guarantees maximum sound quality and operating convenience. The three Ego TS1, TS2 and TS3 versions cover all these Toyota models. A new mute cable E is also available for use in IQ, Verso and Avensis models. The cable permits reproduction of telephone conversations via the two front speakers and the radio automatically goes mute when calls are received.
