The software 8.10 for Ego Flash and Ego Look is now available in our Download Centre. The new firmware is required for connecting the iDapter, which is now also available, to hands-free car kits. The device plays music from your iPod directly via the car speakers. Tips on how to update the car kits as well as a complete overview of all add-ons can be found in the respective installation files.

Funkwerk Dabendorf has signed exclusive agreements with Avenir Telecom UK and Dibiottanta Srl to sell the Ego series and the Ego TS in Great Britain and Italy. The new distribution partners are regarded as specialists for vehicle accessories in their respective markets and also hold stable positions internationally. By its own account, Avenir Telecom, to which the British subsidiary belongs, is No. 2 in Europe in terms of phone accessory distribution and recently generated €734.5 million in sales.

Theo Drijfhout was appointed the third CEO of Funkwerk Dabendorf GmbH alongside Lutz Pfister (technology) and Matthias Lydike (development). On 1 July 2009, the native Dutchman assumed responsibility for OEM and ASM, product and project management, and marketing. Theo Drijfhout is an experienced specialist. Prior to his appointment, the 45-year-old qualified engineer was Vice President of Aftermarket and Infotainment at Continental Trading GmbH.
