For EGO devices, it is compatible from software update version 2.0 and a video explains the steps to be taken. More and more dealers are being inspired by the Active Antenna for fast Internet access. A local marketing campaign in Germany has shown that the solution is also of interest to classic providers of CE goods for home use, as Manfred Tinius, owner of the Euronics dealership and store that bears his name, confirms: “In my view, the Active Antenna is a high-quality solution and a positive addition for everyone who wants to access the Internet via UMTS.” Mathias Warwzyniak from M@thias Telekommunikation can also easily convince his customers: “Recently we increased the transfer rate by 2,500 per cent. I don’t know of any product like the Active Antenna that offers this level of quality.” You can read more on the stories of both these dealers in the current edition of CE Markt, here.

sia
Funkwerk Dabendorf is supporting the SIA Student Engineering Academy in Brandenburg for the third time. The regional cooperation project with the Wildau Technical University encourages graduates of the Fontane Grammar School in Rangsdorf (Teltow-Fläming district) to develop a steerable robot and by doing so learn about the field of informatics, a branch of engineering profession. The competition opened on the 12th of November, when the cooperation agreement was signed at Funkwerk Dabendorf. For the period of one academic year, 12 youngsters will now undertake extra-curricular activities focusing on engineering-related topics from the field of robotics and telematics with support and assistance from professionals. The SIA is becoming increasingly popular, as the growing number of participants – which has almost doubled since last year – demonstrates.
