Your Funkwerk Dabendorf Team

TOP
This year, for the first time, the three business units: Funkwerk Automotive Communications (Funkwerk Dabendorf and eurotelematik), Funkwerk Enterprise and Funkwerk Security Communications, had a joint stand. We showed innovative communication solutions "Made in Germany" and gave an overview of the multi-layered Funkwerk product and solutions portfolio. Numerous partners in the ITK industry and the automotive industry once again utilised their personal invitation and were not only enthusiastic about the new stand concept but also about the solutions presented. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their visit and interest. The new LTE antenna presented for fast internet at home, under the motto "Funkwerk Dabendorf makes the connection" was particularly popular among trading partners and members of the public visiting the fair.

AMICOM
After the CeBIT is before the AMICOM. This year we will await visitors to the AMICOM from 9 to 13 April in Leipzig in Hall 5, Stand C14. The presentation will focus on our innovative Bluetooth hands-free solution, Audio 2010. This year, for the first time, Funkwerk Dabendorf will participate in the Car Media installation workshop in order to show how easy the high-quality hands-free equipment is to install. Each day, between 9°° and 18°°, three vehicles will be presented on the EMMA (European Mobile Media Association) show stage, and will be properly equipped with state-of-the-art infotainment by a team of car electronics specialists. In this way, experts will also be given further insights into the elegant installation. The Audio 2010 is naturally a must.

LTE Antenne
In the second quarter of this year the LTE antenna presented at the CeBIT will be launched on the market and it will be followed in the third quarter by the new LTE cable of Funkwerk Dabendorf. The new reception solution transmits the LTE signal loss-free, from the antenna to the terminal device, and has substantial advantages compared to "low loss" cables: It not only offers loss-free transmission of the data, but is also far thinner and more flexible. This means the cable can be used flexibly, and with any other marketable LTE antenna. Take a look here, to find out what the LTE solutions look like.

LTE Workshop
Continuing the expansion of our specialist trader scheme, we also offered workshops for you at the CeBIT. One area of focus was LTE with market trends and specific support measures. The external expert Oliver Zigann has developed sales strategies and gave valuable tips. In the afternoon, our automotive lounge on the stand was opened for participating specialist traders and installation partners. Here you received an exclusive preview of the mobile communication trends in the automotive industry. Click here for impressions of the specialist traders' day at the CeBIT.

Fachhaendler des Monats
Specialist traders often do not find it easy to assert themselves against the hard competition of Mediamarkt & Co. Nowadays it is more effective to focus on competent service, than to simply be there and to have a large product range. This is how, for example, the Emsland shopkeeper Udo Peters does it in his Meppener phone store. He not only offers his customers products, such as the active antennas, but also solutions such as fast inter-net for online games. To find out how successful he is, read here. The current mobile phone trends in Barcelona and in Hanover encouraged us to expand our compatibilities even further. We have extended the compatibility list for your custom-ers to include the latest mobile phones and smart phones. The list is available in the download centre here. The TC Desire HD, HTC HD 7 and Nokia X3-02 are now also compatible for the Audio 2010.

Thema des Monats
According to the Mobile Broadband Study 2010 of Nokia Siemens Networks, use of mobile internet has risen by 40% compared to the previous year. The authors consider one reason for this to be the favourable bundling of mobile phone contracts and terminal devices. As the study shows, the mobility of the access plays an important role. It is also worth noting that around 80% of those asked use mobile broadband to obtain a fast internet access at home too. If the transmission rates increase due to new technologies, every fifth person is even prepared to switch from a land line access to a mobile broadband solution. For more information, click here.
